I can't figure out the last part of 25. Does They mean a plural? 1 word fits but seems to have nothing to do with Hype or Travelled a long way...

The last part of 25 needs splitting into 2,3. Not the best clue!

Hi Ethereal,

the last 3 letters are "they've (hence plural) come a long way" - think cosmically:-)

Thanks all. I'm only left with 3ac which doesn't rhyme and seems to suggest a type of bread. Where are the deceased? Not a spoonerism either...

The much loved Cockney Rhyming slang:-) Wordplay is "prepare what may be toast and the definition is "deceased"

You've done better than me - I still can't get it, and I'm not sure about parsing 18 down.
