'Tennis' in 10d is a straight forward anagram, with 'Matilda' giving [2] and ending with 'record' [5]

26a is a reversal of a kind of note to give a cheesemaker

You need to separate the 12 from the G.
12 is the definition, G is what you get if you interpret the answer cryptically..
