Lewap, I think both those are correct. My guess is you have chosen the wrong option for 7d. Try 14a without it and see if you can find an alternative

I had exactly the same issue, and that’s how I resolved it

Still struggling on...but with no progress. I could potentially have the wrong permutation of digits in 12a. Are the first 4 in ascending order and the last 2 descending?

Finally got there! A long slog multiplying - thank goodness for a calculator. When the solution is published I hope to discover how these 6-digit self-replicating anagrams are found (apart from the obvious one). Massive trial and error can't be the only method.

I thought I was doing OK - all filled apart from the unclueds, plus 15d having two possibles. I then started using Excel to get possibilities for the unclueds. But I’ve just spotted that in my anagram version, 22a has two unchecked digits. The only way I can see that that resolves unambiguously is if they are identical (which I don’t think they can be), or if putting them one way round would give a number used elsewhere in the grids - which isn’t the case for my current set-up.

Ah, just spotted my mistake - what I said was true, but I’d just done something stupid in calculating 22a.

I don't know if I am correct but I was able to enter all the clued clues unambiguously except 19ac & 16 dn each having more than option - 19ac with 5 and 16dn with 3 to agree the 2nd digit and get their last digits correct.
I'm using excel and only used my old xp laptop to calculate the many permutations of 19ac.
Have I gone wrong?

Once this puzzle has had its solution published, I can't wait to find out the elegant solution for completing the unclueds!!

All done, but with a touch more brute force than I would have liked.
