Well that was over in a flash, for me anyway. A fairly obvious self-referential theme. Nothing particularly stood out for me.
FOI 3, LOI 27.
COD? Well, I liked the surfaces of 1, 24 and 26.
Thanks to Kite for a pleasant solve and an early night.

Deja vu! But seriously, this is the Prize puzzle that was accidentally put out alongside Maskarade's Easter Special before being withdrawn around mid-morning, but not before a few of us night owls had already completed it.

I know many of you were probably wondering what we were talking about, so I'm glad you finally get to see it in all its glory.

Despite the duplication, it was still fun and, as Rog has said, there is a theme, albeit not an all-encompassing one.

COD - I can't be bothered to look up the original thread to see if I even picked one but, regardless, I like 23d.

Thanks to Kite for an entertaining puzzle.

South east took far longer than all the rest.

This is funny...
I visited the Guardian site around 7 PM Eastern US time and the Prize hadn't posted. I was expecting Kite, but somehow mistakenly clicked on yesterday's Imogen puzzle, which I found delightful.

Then I spotted my mistake and that Kite indeed had been posted.
Following is what I posted back on 19 April:

Thanks to Kite, who salvaged Friday crossword night from a Maskarade jumbo abstention (no disrespect, just personal taste and time allocation).

Agreed with rog on the theme, I had labeled it as "meta" but "self-referential" is better.

Slightly more challenging than Prize norm because of a handful of very tricky clues. Took a long time to get started, a fair amount of low-hanging fruit to scratch the pad, but the last several entries burned a lot of time. The lower part of the grid was especially slow.

FOI 7. LOI 27, partly because of difficulty and partly because I struggled with the crossing 17d.

Enjoyed many clues. COD 8. Others of note: 24, 22, 17a, 17d, 23, 25, 27, 11 and 16.

Excellent - ground to a halt at bottom half. Obvious theme. Helpful. 19a top fav.

12a...interesting: part of the answer is no longer that, Google says - 'rejected' in real life too?

V. interesting about 12a, I didn't know that. At the time (a month ago), I wrote in the answer and didn't thoroughly parse.

Hi Geeker and everyone, this is close to a record time for me which is very different from the previous few Prize offerings. Nothing really stands out also COD wise. I really enjoyed Imogen yesterday too. I have a v nervy week coming up, Wembley a week tomorrow.

A triumph for me, in that I had totally forgotten having solved this previously, so it was all new (and nor very quick!)
Some quibbles:
Is 1d actually a thing? I have moved in those circles, and never heard it.
7d means the opposite of the definition, surely?
8d I see how it works, but one of the letters I don't think is used fairly
