In my Guardian app, I have “Sunday Quick No. 1” which I can’t actually access.

Had to use this site's fill in the gaps thingy to understand what was going on with 16D, but then it was a major PDM. However, it only makes sense if you're up to speed with what's going on with the Observer's ownership structure, so I'm not sure it's entirely fair, ingenious as it is.
For late arrivals, see ilippu's very helpful post #9 for the online address of the puzzle. The new owners do NOT make it easy to find! (e.g. There's no point using the search function on observer.co.uk). Also, the new interface is a bit of a shambles - no anagram helper, no full list of clues, etc. And don't navigate away before completion because all the answers disappear if you do!

Phil, I’ve tried closing the webpage and reopening it and all my answers are still there. I do hope that history is preserved though, so that next week we can still access this week’s puzzle.

Hi Jono
I suspect clicking the submit button on completion will preserve the puzzle, but perhaps only on the device you happen to be using at the time?

Well once I used the hints on here to work out what was going on with 16d I found it to be a virtual write-in, albeit that I cannot parse the second word in 3d, but I don't think anything else would fit with the crossers so I sure I have the correct solution. Can anyone shed any light?

Thanks to Everyman and good to see Sundays will continue to be fun under the new owners.

Thanks for the link to the crossword supplied here - anybody got one for the Observer Killer Sudoku?

I think gross is two letters and for the first four letters of the second word, think mediaeval siege warfare or first world war underground.

The "burger" menu has a "save" option.

Once I'd found the new Everyman (thanks to this forum rather than the Tortoise website) and changed to the lighter setting I rather like the way it's presented. I see that the Observer is to be daily online so I wonder whether there will be a new daily puzzle included?

1dn/16dn this week and last are a clever idea but I can't totally parse either version of 16dn. Mind you, seeing what the setter was doing over both weeks half-excuses any clue clunkiness!
