2d my clue of the day now that the car has been pointed out. This Everyman one of the 13d.

Even with the hints here I struggled with 2d. Light dawns. If you are still unable to parse it, “17” does NOT refer to clue 17 across!

A nice level of challenge this week. Thank you Everyman. COD:15a ( raised a laugh).

I gave a slightly tortuous explanation of 2d, partly because I was tired but also because I thought mentioning NATO explicitly was potentially a spoiler. I believe that 2d is the preferred spelling in the NATO dictionary so I thought it was a very clever clue when combined with the car reference. Not perhaps a COD, since the surface is a bit contrived.

Good fun this week I thought, I enjoyed 2d. If I was the sort to quibble, I'd point out that a 24a is not strictly a "sporting fixture" but as I always say, if I've manged to solve it, it can't be that bad of a clue.

I don't get 22d at all, but I'm sure that's just me!

For 22d the definition is the 1st word and the answer comes from the final letters of the next 4 words.

I've been stuck with 3 to go for a while now. Any hints appreciated for 1d, 11d and 16a.

Also - and I somehow feel this is a v daft question - but when and where can you see the solutions? I can see solutions for Everyman before the end of Jan but not for any that are more recent. Thanks.

I am not entirely confident on this but I think 16a has a 3 letter word for ignore at the end and the rest of the answer (X) is there in the clue, with the answer bring something you could describe as an X-do.
