Correction...don't think she performed at the SB, but was photographed there? I don't watch TV so am unaware of details, but saw some Internet pics.

cymro, the defn. of 10a is a noun relating to (possibly) radio equipment.
It's a subtractive clue, parses as 7 minus 3.

Thanks Geeker. I think I've got it and now understand 9ac. I got the answer for this ages ago, but couldn't see why.
I've just two to get: 10ac, which I don't understand and can't think of a 3 letter station to add in to what?
and 22ac where I don't think I know the busted singer. I have the following crossers.
P?R?O?

Roof, your crossers are correct for the singer. You may have to google.
SPOILER ALERT: her first name is the same as http://tinyurl.com/ymhbepvk

Roof, I guarantee you know the singer. Perhaps read ‘busted’ as ‘busty’?

Of course the “Busted” are a UK punk band which I assume was intended misdirection.

Sorry Geeker I wrote my last thread without reading yours at 62. I've made up an answer for radio equipment. I've no idea what three letters I should have to take out for the station (rail or radio?) to get it. I'll now have to google female singers at super bowl.

Roof, the famous sheep I linked to earlier was actually named for the singer!

Ta Geeker

Of course I know her. Indeed, I was thinking of her, but unable to recall her name! She is never known by her surname alone. I can't really parse the rest of the clue - but never mind. I've found the clueing very loose. I wasted a lot of time looking up the 100 best female singers, most of whom I've never heard of.

I think I've finished.

FOI 23ac, LOI 22ac, CODs15ac (because I'm from Bristol originally), 5d (which I couldn't spell at first) and 19d. Perhaps I should give a nod to 16d as my wedding ring is made of this.
