Obviously the Xmas presence clues are the easiest to extract a name, as it’s in order.

A gentle hint: the ‘something in common’ is obvious and the two others aren’t especially ‘high-brow’

H1982, when you say obvious, is that occupation, country or something else?

Answer is broken up into (4-3-2) but the wordplay is the other way around (for one (2) damn (3) rat (4) )

I simply cannot see the second two names and the ambiguity HAS to be in 35a, so I cannot see any words that include that ambiguity!

gitto - do you have all the letters for each name? do you know the link between them?

For the 3, 9 - the 3 is not a full name, and your question comes at an appropriate time/day of the week for this person (sorry if this is too cryptic, trying not to give it away)

For the 8, 4, the 4 is a pretty common 4 given the link

Do you have 35a then - if so a hint would be appreciated
