Rocky7, not sure if this will help, but every themed clue comprises wordplay, giving the clue structure, plus a definition of the thematic word. So for T you have the five letter reversal plus the letter for Rex, and the last word is the (loose) definition. If you look up the thematic words in an appropriate place, you should find their meanings. Here is one such (URL changed to avoid spoiler)

Quisling thanks. I think you have saved my sanity. I might give it one last go. Though my themed G is looking decidedly tough.

Hello everyone. I'm glad this blog is still ongoing 2 days after the crossword first appeared. I love alphabetical and themed crosswords and this was a real delight. My only missing clue is the themed word for A. I have AD-R-A. Would love someone to put me out of my misery and help me out on this.
Thankyou!

Aicram, the second letter of themed A is not D. First three letters are a common conjunction, then middle three letters of five-letter word meaning highly gifted, or excellent

And I assume incongruous indicates that while the name derives from ‘manly’, it is in fact girl’s name

That was my reading, Jono, though of course it’s masculine in Italian

Thankyou. I have a Greek friend whose son has this name.
Now just have to adjust the D in the themed word beginning with C.

Of course. The "C" word is now obvious.
What a great puzzle to chill out with over the Bank holiday.
And I've learnt some new words too.
Thanks for all your help.
