Thanks to Philistine for this week's Prize. I enjoyed it and rate it slightly above Paul's Prize from last week, due to fewer weak clues.
On the challenging side. A number of non-obvious (IMO) anagrams which took time to identify anagrist and anagrind.
FOI 19, motivated by the many clues linking there. Figured out the theme quickly (though first guess was slightly off), but still had difficulty with a few thematic clues.
One unfamiliar word required Google.
LOI 5.
COD 3, with some misgivings (omitted to avoid spoilers); 19d a very close runner-up despite being second one in. Also liked 13a, 10, 14, 22d, 23 and 12.
Enjoy and good luck! There should be enough tricky clues to generate a reasonable number of inquiries.

[Added] The top and bottom rows of the grid (with all single letters), seem conducive to a Nina, but I found none.

Weekend puzzle bonus: frequent Prize star setter Picaroon in the FT (as Buccaneer).

Loved this crossword . I am a big fan of the setter . Many clues requiring me to think ,I am sure that is the answer but why why why . FOI 19a LOI 7d COD 19d which made me smile .

Enjoyed this, I am also a Philistine fan.

all went smoothly until hitting 24a, so google to the rescue...liked 14 and the association...thanks Philistine

Same issue with the app. Completed online, quite a quick solve but enjoyed the connections and construction. My favourite grid. A couple of hints at Philistine’s day job as we’ve come to expect. 24a was new to me too
