I was stuck in the top until I got 8d, from which I got 13a, then the rest fell out rapidly.

18, 19a, 22a doesn't mean what most people assume it means...

A fun theme - I often wonder how and when and by whom these terms are coined.

21a was a surprising bit of new knowledge for me from doing this crossword. Also 24a seems a v obscure term but it’s fairly easy to piece together well enough to look up.

Stuck on 7d and 19d so need some insights please, lovely forum people.
Enjoying a sunny morning here in Wiltshire

Well I have answers to all clues, can't parse 2D.

I didn't know 24A and used a solver in the end, last one in.

Thanks Chris E
Both are very fine clues and rather satisfying to solve.
I was (erroneously) focused on the first name of the wife of the Bard for too long.

Enjoyed this. FOI 19a LOI 2d (for the same reason as others) and yes 19d my COD because it made me smile too. Seemed a lot of anagrams where you remove letters first (I’m sure that has a fancy name?) or maybe it just felt that way.
