Old vinyl type record!

ok, got 13d. another look at 13a.
as an ex-chemist, ididn't appreciate the definition for 13d!

all done. I was trying to include too many words in the definition for 13a.

13a Shakespearean ref, , 3 and 3 levity and shortened game

13a: definition is ‘they may produce a spell’. Not sure about the parsing, you may want to add s at the beginning of 13a, to explain the second part of clue. Levity also means flippancy, in a sense.

I thought the definition for an old vinyl record was a similar word, but has 10 letters, ending PH.
