Only just finished reading all the clues (my daughter has been here this afternoon. When I saw Picartoon my heart dropped, but I have got five on the first read through, which is good for me. No idea of the theme yet, but time to retire to the front room and concentrate.

I like it, Picaroon, but memo to self, do a quick read of the clues before starting!

Only just got around to this but it was a lot of fun with some wonderful clues like 9a, 6d and 24a.

Luckily I spotted the theme early on although, with so many possibilities, it didn't really make the solving any easier.

Admittedly I took a couple of hours out to do some chores and stuff but I've been stuck in the SW corner for ages now.

Can anyone give me a little hint on the European's part of 13d. I've got the first word but I think I might get it finished if I can get the second.

The European is 4 letters beginning with L (another word for a Latvian)
