21. Two things to put on are SHORTS and a TOP. I suspect the six of diamonds has something to do with a baseball diamond but that’s far as my baseball knowledge takes me.

4 Organ is another word for nrwspaper, Is in clue and Er is Re, about, reversed, back. An organiser is an electronic device - well, it was some time ago...

8 Rector would be the senior academic, drop/ignore the last letter, R, gives Recto, page in book.

8 pages in a book are RECTO or VERSO, depending on which way they face. Presumably the last one is RECTO. It's RECTOR (senior academic) minus the last R
