Yes. I first thought of another 6, 8 duo though. Also fits into the subtheme.

12a chimed weakly right at the back of my ruined mind palace, like a dehydrated dowager in need of glucose.

As for 10a, well, she might as well have been down one. So thanks to Bigjack for the impromptu clues.

Hi everybody

As usual I joined late and hoped it would be easy as I filled in 9ac straight away, but the rest has taken me some time and I must thank the forum for some of the answers.

Having said that I have four left and I'm not sure about several. Please can I have a hint for 19d I have C?S?A???. Are my letters right? I could also do with a pointer to 29ac and 22d. I'm really not sure of my answer to 22ac or 7d. I can't parse either.
