This was going swimmingly with some wiki confirmation but I'm completely unstuck on 19d/29a. Cannot see either. Can I gave a hint for one please?

For 2d your ____ic is correct. For the first bit think 'annoy' as a verb.

No idea who 10a is but look for a word for couple backwards with single letter inserted.

10a is an English author, but her real name sounds French.
If stuck, use two foreign words for “yes” (3,2).

Very challenging, had to use wikipedia and thesaurus a lot, also needed hints from here for 10A, 4D.

Neil Peart (drummer from Rush, RIP) was a big fan of 14A and was an influence on the musathon 2112, because it's similar plot to one of her books apparently. But I guess we can forgive him for that.

I don't understand what "like David and 6" refers to in 21A though.

Mmkay ;)

Well at least it was easy to work out from the rest of the clue. I thought working it out would help me getting 6 but only when I saw a subtheme and guessed 8 did I work out 6 (and probably not in the way intended, lol).

Also second time I've seen Brendan use "eg Brendan" the exact same way in a crossword clue. But the other related subtheme answer made up for that.

I also wonder whether the print edition has the clue number mistake that the website has, where it says 6D 16A instead of 6D, 13A. There is no 16A. At least you can work it out from the across clue where it says see 6, and on the website it highlights the correct squares and clues.
