Thanks Tyke, Nice to hear from you.

The changes to England' schedule have worked well for me. A Test at OT and a ODI to replace T20 match. I am thinking of booking a day at Leeds. I have not been for years. Is there plenty of street parking?

ODI??
Actually don't tell me, seems like it is cricket.
Street parking? Last time i parked on the street in Oxford, it was £8.90 for two hours. On a Sunday.

Pleased OT have got a Test. When I go to Headingley I travel by train - Burley Park is the nearest station to the ground, approx 15 mins walk away. Don`t recommend trying to park near the ground for a Test match - County 4 - day matches yes! There is a park and ride bus service to the ground if you have to travel by car but Headingley is a very congested area - hope you`re keeping well!

Grunger, Jono and Rosalind.

The -rix and -rices words were great, very novel-looking. I think I might stumble over them if I tried to inclued them in everyday conversation!

Sorry to take the thread in a different direction, but I am constantly amazed at the things I learn doing crosswords. Just now I learned that the game of tag is called “tig” in the UK.

It was also called “it”. As in when it was your turn, you were “ it”.

Tig isn’t familiar to me, I think as children we would have called the game “it”

According to the Times and Chambers anyway it's tig. The part about the person who is tagged being "it" seems universal though.

I like that Chambers also has tig as an “old drinking cup with two or more handles”. Why would you need more than two?

It can be tig or tag. The OED gives both. I always knew it as tag.
