Hi Teewens,

3d - 6 letter "apart from" goes around/"clasps" R(ight) - definition is "piece" as in an extract from a book.

Ok this took all day and was not helped that I spelt 1D wrong oh dear.

21A was best clue I think lol.

I made the same mistake. I didn't go back and check that it was an actual anagram. D'oh! 😖 Would have got 13 a lot sooner considering that I have two of the creatures involved in that clue.

Also a Kiwi (hence the nom de plume) so 10a no mystery. There is a well known limerick that features the Pauline pun, but I will post it after the deadline for submission to avoid spoilers.

Me too (obviously), though 10a took loonger than it should. Will have to remember that line next time I'm on the ferry. Good fun all round & probably at the limit of an enjayable solve for me.
