Just to tie up a loose end, I. can’t work out the parsing of 35a and if second letter is a or e.

Numskull, it's A (Arabic), part of a 3 word term for Yemen.

Excellent puzzle. Now it`s time for a glass of that which must not be diluted!

This one was going quite well for me, but I'm completely stuck in the top-left corner. I have a feeling if I can get one of them, then the others might fall into place, but that PDM just isn't happening for any of them.

I have a feeling 10a and 10d might be swaps - and that the parasitic infection is the obvious one. I can't parse it, though. Does 'rallying' have a special meaning in crossword parlance?

As for 'On with cape and hat', it's bound to be a kick yourself one when you get it, but I just can't see a way in right now.

I can’t see the four words! Can I have a clue as it’s now Tuesday. Going a bit mad. Have full grid and theme, (but not poem.) Are the four words the same length? Famous poet or obscure?

Suzannah, rallying seems to be anagram indicator here.
Yes 10 and 10 swap, both common words with unusual meanings here.
I can’t parse 2d fully sorry.

2 down: On: think sides on a cricket pitch. Add that to a well-known cape in Chile and you get a kind of that (that's better known as a breed of chicken).
