Letters or numbers, I wonder? The title would imply the latter, but there's no other indication. A pity to have ambiguity at the final stage.

cockie, I think the title strongly suggests numbers. Why else has it been translated? I don’t think a submission with numbers can be marked wrong

I've gone for letters (so far). What I don't get is that I'm left with 6 answers (4acs/2 dns) that can't be entered thematically because they fit exactly (9a for example).

Nothing in the preamble to suggest numbers. The numbers in the title must be a clue to the theme so I’d go for letters every time.
