I won't see the crossword until tomorrow, but I'm posting this now as I have a busy morning lined up. Hope it's a fun, challenging, not-impossible puzzle!

In my view it’s fun, not very challenging and more than possible, but still enjoyable. And an area of interest of mine. Given the last three have taken me a lot of time between them it’s nice to have an easier one.

Yes much easier than most but nicely constructed. I was aware of the plea but had no idea it related to this theme.

After re-reading the preamble and using the first letters of the clues rather than the bloody thematic words everything quickly fell into place. Rather easier than usual. I have just managed to lay my hands on the times book of listener crosswords, ISBN-9780550104045, and they are proving to be a serious challenge!!

And is one of the letters to be highlighted supposed to appear in the appropriately coloured entry?

Yes, one cell is a colouring / highlighting clash.

As I said last night I thought this was good, but 3 unches in a 6 letter word (twice)?? After last week's two in a 5 letter word.

Did I miss the point where we tore up the basic principles of grid construction?
