Nelson, your views sound pretty much like mine!

If I'm struggling with a puzzle, especially a thematic one - but enjoying the struggle - I won't open any threads on it in case I see information/answers I'm not ready for.

The Inquisitor and Enigmatic Variations threads on here seem to work quite well - polite, friendly, helpful and rarely contentious. Other themed crosswords don't always fare so well!

I have finished the crossword but I can't see the misprint in the first clue despite knowing which letter needs to go in. Could someone put me out of my misery?

I struggled with that one for a while. Never come across it as a noun.

I have a full grid but need the definitions that vary by one letter from these - one who might be revealing, Russian secret stops, incuse, lathes, and ceiling.

3 Infuse
4 Bathes?
5 Coiling

Thanks Malone! I’m not liking the F from infuse, but it makes sense. I clearly have a few wrong.
What about the final clue, implement for preparing flan, do you have that one?
