Mattrom - no, your answer was totally fine. Orson hadn't asked for hints only - I just felt my response looked rather miserly!

The crossword is much easier than it looks. I was amazed at how quickly I finished it! Nice change from the usual time - consuming crossword.

Nudges or answers? I’m glad we have no set rules on this, and that people just seem to know intuitively the level of help to give – depending on how long the puzzle has been live and its complexity.

Personally, I always think about the standard advice. If you don’t want to know the result you should look away now. (Other opinions are available.)
