The closest I could get was "devil's bit scabious". The anagram takes care of "bit scabious", but, regrettably, one
is left with "shep" for the rest of it!

"sheep's bit scabious" would be great, Chris....... but it would an extra "e" and "s" if I've counted correctly?
Is there a variant in spelling?

I also thought of sheeps bit scabious but according to the setter the letters I gave are correct.

I'm sure I've seen this on the forum before.

I can see Sea hibiscus but I also have surplus letters which don't make sense.
