Is there a clue 5? Maybe the clue or the answer to that would lead to the NN in 'Anent' (the rest being 'eat' anagrammed).

Thanks, skyewalker, I now feel even less able to help! I don't understand the 'NN can be newsreader'. though I do get 5A Mills= newsreader.
