There is a reason (apart from a desire to look more thematic) why the cells in the bottom row are boxed in a way that looks a bit peculiar.

I know I'm being a nuisance, but I would welcome a hint about the bl**dy 6-letter word. I can see that, as someone mentioned earlier, a singular version of a later movie might just about do. They were, and the (broken down the middle) puzzle is, but I can't see a third significance. Or am I being too devious? HELP!

The skirt and the marriage both seem to fit that as well.

Thanks. If correct (and I suspect you are) it's a big let down from the thematic excellence of the rest of the puzzle. It was fine without the last step. A pudding over-egged, methinks.

Struggling more with this than I have been with a really bad chest infection for the last two or so weeks - I didn't even feel up to looking at last week's EV because of that. I have solved all the clues but I still cannot work out which letters to put in the central column and suspect that I may have some of the redundant words wrong. ( e.g. keeping in 15/17 ) I can see a six letter party and a nine letter time-frame on the left and an eight letter party on the right but I cannot see a time-frame there and I suspect that is the one which needs highlighting. Any pointers in the right direction would be more than welcome.

You need the 6 letter party from the left and the 8 letter party on the right that you already have. Ignore the time from your left ....connects to a film the left party was in. She was married to the right party for a very short time.....look on the right in a symmetrical fashion to the time from the left that you don't need.
