jogamel, think of a former party leader who lost his seat recently and who is a fish without the last letter.

15d would help me - Fuss I raised about taxi concession for group without hard cases. I thought of using the letters ADO I CAB but that doesn't work.

Orson, I have Taxi as the extra word in 15 D (I could be wrong!).

Orson, I should have said that my word contains the same letters as the letters you listed - but with a three-letter word for 'concession' replacing 'cab'.

Orson, my word for 15d means "without carapace" and includes your letters plus another 3 letter word for concession, which is in Chambers.
And the party leader still escapes me....more hints???
