I've been solving this off and on for the past week or so and I am now really stuck and at the same time completely baffled!
For instance 7 down Well, well Corbyn! EU's upset with Anne, hogging energy.(8,8,5)
I've got "Lawrence Llewelyn Bowen" but can't for the life of me see why. I know it's an anagram but what's the anagrind?
I'm also missing quite a few others but, and if anyone could tell the phrase that goes around the puzzle that would help.
Thanks so much.

7 D is LLB- an anagram+ the clue mentioned specifically in the preamble. The quotations are from him.

IT does help thank-you both very much. I'll have to go back and find the quote in back issues.

The first one Pepsi is " It's important to have a relationship with your inferiors" . I haven't worked out the second one yet! Perhaps if you know it you could pass it on to me!

Was it 'inferiors'? I didn't check off all the letters we were given, but I think I had something different!

The completed letters of the last word are ?N?E?I?R?. Interiors and anteriors are the only other words that could replace it, but in my mind neither would fit. However before I conclude I intend to search through all my Eye mags of last year to verify it.

Times of London article in February 2016 gives a quote involving interiors and wanting his wallpaper to talk to him.
