Hi Malone

Look on the web for the meaning of the unclued entries in terms of numbers - taking the terms together narrows them down to five numbers. I'm not sure about the parsing/definitions of some clues either !

Well, I've googled and googled different combinations of the three unclued words but can't see how they signify any five numbers. Hint please?

Nelson, I googled and it lead me to red, odd numbers under 18 - that's what the three unclued answers provide. If you look at a roulette board/game/layout, you'll see the five numbers.

I haven't got any further yet.

So is it just that - replacing the first four letters of 3D with the appropriate four letter word?

Yes, I think Muraria's earlier suggestion, answer, is the correct one. I'm glad to have got to the end of this - the final stages were a bit of a struggle!

Muraria, thanks for the information on 2 Down.

Amen to that. But what about the strange clues/parsing/answers, such as 31A?
