One of the hardest climbs in England is "Rosedale Chimney" in the North York Moors. I went up it last year, and Emailed a cycling pal:

"Went up Rosedale Chimney yesterday. It was really long, hard and steep. I don't think I would have made it if I hadn't been in the car!"
