Was thrilled to get July 1997 to July 2004 to print out for The Puzzler but from there to January 2006 I only get "page not found "

the message "404 " page not found
usually appears when the page is not available on the server you are using on your PC. Or it could be that the website has now started asking for subscriptions. You could email the owners of The Atlantic who may give you help to overcome the problem.

Thanks jazzgirl. I actually paid for a subscription to the magazine, but even when I log in, it's still 404. I'll try emailing.

Hello pecanpie,

Not sure if it's any help but try an appeal to 'aristophanes' and 'syzygy' from over the pond who may know more about The Atlantic puzzles and how to get them.
If my memory serves me right, this (The Atlantic access to grids) has been discussed a couple of times over the last few years and I'm sure these two chaps had some input.

@ pecanpie

The 404 error means the page has been deleted or the URL for the page has changed.

I have the same list & the later puzzles are no longer accessible.
There were discussions on these threads:
http://www.crosswordsolver.org/forum/213878/the-atlantic-crossword/
http://www.crosswordsolver.org/forum/213285/pronunciation-and-dialect/

Definitely contact The Atlantic . As a subscriber you should have full access to the archives.

Oh, happy day. Here's a link to the archived puzzles:
http://preview.tinyurl.com/jh5ugg4
though I see they are really tight about how many things you can look at.

The Puzzler was withdrawn from the printed magazine in 2006, but continued on-line until 2008.
Apparently the editor was a not a fan.

Good luck. Hope that helps.

Hello syzygy, I went to this site and you have to pay to use it. Much as I love Hex, I'm not willing to pay $20 to do those puzzles.
I emailed the magazine and got a very disappointing reply, obviously not puzzlers! But thank you for replying! pecanpie
