I've completed the grid, fairly easily, but not clear what the appropriate rows and columns are. There don't seem to be any that match the original requirements for a triple. Hint, please?

Think single rather than triple

Thanks for that. A rather anti-climatic ending, after a relatively easy puzzle. Plenty of time to watch Crystal Palace now!

In that case you may have missed the significance of the four 9-digit numbers highlighted dylan - there's a clue in the title ;-)

I have a full grid but no idea what the "theme" is. Something to do with famous Swiss mathematician?

Is it that the rows and columns in question fulfil the conditions of the triples in both respects?

Exactly so...

What a day. England win the cricket, Exeter the rugby, I get loads of weeding done, I dodge the football, I even go to the pub (but no drink) and my earliest ever completion of the listener! Ok, so it was comparatively simple, but then so am I! Nice to see BODMAS holding up!

I completed the puzzle without any problems and have done all that's required for submission. However, can anyone put me out of my misery, please, and explain the title. I haven't sussed why "Time" should appear -- is there a hidden depth to this puzzle?

Thanks.

I'm afraid I'm as mystified as you. Each of the four rows and columns has two thematic features, but it appears from a few posts on the other forum that there is something else. I've done various calculations to see what additional qualities they have, and have found nothing. Obviously I'm missing something, but so are a lot of others, it would appear.
