Help with the endgame please. I am missing a few letters in the middle of the "quote" although I think I have the correct answers in the grid

Look for 4 diagonals running SW => NE.

Only the first four words of the quotation appear in the extra letters. These are followed by a description of the person involved and the crossword. That misled me at first. Also, I thought the answer to one clue should have been SLUSHY but the U is the extra letter. The correct answer doesn't quite work for me (unless I've got it wrong).

Hi orson ,I'm not at home to confirm but I remember initially thinking the same but looking at "slosh" in Chambers referred tio "slush" so I guess "sloshy" is ok.

i also had slushy instead of sloshy ... so all is clear now!

Am also having trouble with the endgame - can find high and that and the initials in the grid, but gtfl nudge where to look for the others (in case I have mistakes). Tks v much

one letter after "high" in same diagonal
then 3 letters before "that "(in same diagonal) and 3 letters after
then 9 letters in the diag going sw to ne starting with D
then 3 letters before your 2 initials.
Hope this makes sense!

Can anyone help with 25a please, or tell me if I might have gone wrong with the crossing answers? I can't find anything to fit my letters.
