Can someone please tell me the website which has the tune - I've googled the notes but it doesn't come up with anything useful.

Dottie, I suspect that, like me, you have an error in your sequence of notes. You should have 16 and if you Google them all, in groups of 4, the correct sequence finds the appropriate sites. I was missing a note to begin with and got nothing until I found my error.

Being pedantic there are an awful lot of straight lines in the curve (usually only allowed in answering to an equation which this curve is not).

A Gaussian function has straight lines in it - no ? And that's otherwise referred to as a b*** curve.

Only the second time I've got to the end game on a listener so forgive my stupidity. I have the 4 words and 16 numbers from one to four. Is one the first word? If so, is that word transposed to the note f? And if 21 is not dram, what is it? I have a few other dodgy answers too I expect!

The numbers obtained from the down answers refer to the position of the notes you have obtained from the extra words in across answers.

Thanks for that. I'm none the wiser on what notes the words transpose to, probably simply because I can't decide what the starter word in the sequence has as a corresponding note. That said, I have tried many combinations of starting note, but none of them get a google hit. I am hoping that a little break will replenish my brain cells.....

rrRobbo, I think you have the 4 hint words and have deduced the 4 related words of equal length (to each other). From there I thought that a musical link was obvious, and wrote the related words down in sequence of the four hint words, then translated them into their note equivalents. I ended up with GCDE. Then the 4 X 4 number codons from the down clues should be applied to that : for example if the first codon was 4321, then the result is EDCG. Do that 4 times and use the results for a google search.
