I'm still at a complete loss. I have one Scottish one (the most famous S A) but can get no further. Would someone be so kind as to give me a huge boot? I'm beginning to think my grid must be incorrect.

Remember that it's "thematically placed" so it has to follow basically (though not at the right and left edges) the same shape as the red herring in the centre.

Yes thanks all. I've finished but can't identify the clue that leads to the B in the name. Also I don't see how the clue to 37 works.
