Don't think 21 or 42 can be themed as I have 12 without them.

Thanks for that. Agreed, there are 6 of each kind without 21 or 42, so those just seem to be errors. Too bad as this was otherwise a very nice puzzle.

The full thread confirms my opinion of 42 across and 21 down. Regrettable errors as was the omission of the clue for 22 down in the cryptic.

Correct clue for 21 down is:-
Meal includes empty paper plates (5)

New to this forum. Thanks for the help with the incorrect clue. Have reached a block with two 11D and 35D. By my calculations one is non-standard. Any clue would be appreciated

11D Defn is cabbage, type one non-standard so wordplay leads to a homophone of the cabbage which is rearranged before entry

35D is normal, double defn clue.
