Good afternoon friends. Hope you are all well and enjoying the pleasant weather. Here are today's clues. I trust they will provide some entertainment. Best of lick! J

I set clues just for pleasure. I wonder if some of you excellent regulars would like to try a few? Since they're new, no letters!

Please withhold solutions till 5 pm (GMT + 1) to allow others to have a go.

1. Formerly out-of-date spell starts to remove enchantment (7)

2. Rip off money goes to British university in America with no let-up (10)

3. Opening adventure centre to increase growth in South Africa (9)

4. Female entertainers act out case studies for a change (8)

5. Catholic club or one part of it allows complete freedom of movement? (9,5)

Hi Jolan, not golfing today but I've promised to have a session in the garden. The clues as always great I hope I get a proper crack at them but I doubt it!

Hi Andy. Yes! I'm trying to work up the energy to start on my conifer-trimming (Jazzy!!!). I'll finish up some paper-work and get out there. J

Hi Jolan
I have just come in from the garden (too hot out there) to get lunch. I have beaten you to it, on the conifer-trimming. It took me 2 days as the cordless hedge-trimmer needed more re-charging then previously (2 hours each time ) All done now and looking neat and tidy. This year there were quite a lot of tiny yellow snails sunbathing on the surface and I had to remove them before the cutter came anywhere near them ;)
I will study your clues after lunch. Off to eat ......

Hi jolan
I'm taking a break from gardening at the moment too. I'm going to fit in a bike ride and cooking later.

Just #4 (not a word I knew) and #5 at first look.

Good afternoon jolan, I don't envy you your gardening chores. Royal Ascot starts soon so I may have to put #s 1 & 3 on hold, love #2. Thanks.

My only offer is

2. CONTINUOUS (with no let-up) rip off =con; money = tin; British University = OU (open university) in America )US

I had friends dropping by and didn't have much time, but I don't think I would have solved the others.
Thanks as always jolan. Hope the conifer-trimming went well. x
