Thanks Syzygy, nice puzzle though I had to resort to Google to confirm 28a. Needless to say 23d is a favourite of mine !

Haha yes, ginge (23dn)
I like 17 ac myself, and 10 ac as a clue though I expect it has been used before.
I have a few left to do. Please could you give me a hint about 14 ac? Is it a person? Have the first and last two letters. Does it have a 2 in it?

Hi ros, native American is the definition, playwright part of the wordplay. Interesting you have the last 2 letters as a "2" is the last character. I'm assuming you're merely wishing to confirm the "part" answer.

Another quickie, but very nice nevertheless. I really shouldn't bother starring clues because I just get carried away. I have 4, 9, 22, 25, and 28A, and 1, 3, 5, and 17D.
Thanks, syzzie!

Cheers Syzzie.
Just cracked it, spent ages with 3 & 6 down but all is apparent now.
Although a few tricky ones, all wordplay is now accounted, I've just twigged on at 12d as the last one - neat!
I thought 30a was a tad weak - the def (not the homophone)
I had to g2gle 28a t2 ginge ???

You're all welcome, or "no problem" in modern parlance. (-;

I found it a quick ride too, but they write sweet clues.

Was about to post one from the archives, then remembered I hadn't checked the site.
I'll save that for next week as they probably won't have a cryptic.

No votes for that one then.
Almost the price now as they demolish the rain-forest to plant corn for bio-fuel.
Used to be 25ยข.

28A - got me initially, but they're across the border. Quite a few Americanisms.
Wanted EEE for the shoe size !

23D & 4A - thought they would "strike a chord".

12D was my favourite.

Cheers.
