I was brought up in Poole but as far as I know didn't have any such brave relatives.

I was a keen supporter of Poole speedway in the 1960s. I guess that's where your name comes from Poole Pirate.

Partly Rossim and partly due to ancestors of a more dubious nature!

One of the tall ships ("Tenacious" ) is returning to the Quay. I hope the fund-raising day does well.

They usually do well - I'll be doing my bit (donating).
