That sounds really interesting Jazzy. Having Lifeboatmen as ancestors something to be proud of. I hope none died rescuing people.
Today was billed as the hottest so far this year, poole pirate!

The Laburnum arch was in flower and masses of rhodies. The best bit was the newly opened lake, literally alive with tadpoles. I loved the Meconopsis too, my dad used to grow them. A bit exotic for suburban Birkenhead.

That is a kind offer Ros. One of my younger family members has been very busy sending me microfilm photos and I think she has covered all the men wno died. She copies the film from the Dorchester history centre.
I have not given my email to anyone as yet,although quite a few have tracked me down somehow. ;)
