Thanks to Maurice and Busby for reporting the latest kitchen threads, much appreciated.

Ash looked into vetting prospective new users but is reluctant to go down that road.

He feels that if a new user enrols it is because he/she wants to join the Forum at that specific moment because either advice is needed or he/she wants to post on a particular thread.

Ash thinks it would deter them if they had to wait for me to approve them, this could take some time if I am not on the computer when they apply.

For now we are monitoring the numbers of spam kitchen threads so please keep reporting them. Busby made me smile, he suggested I buy a kitchen just to shut them up!

i clicked on this thread after seeing the subject "Spam kitchen " I was then surprised to find it was not a thread for posting new "Spam" recipes and cooking demonstrations. I guess I will have to G👀gle elsewhere for more inspiring recipes, being already fed up with fritters and spamburgers :(
I certainly won't be buying some old display ukitchen.

Fritters and hamburger, Jazzgirl?
Oh dear, not the best diet for those of an athletic nature practising their handstands!

Thank you, Jazzgirl.
I am on laptop.
How would I get a wee acute (is it?) above the e in "cafe".
I am sure you will know.

Place your cursor in the location where you wish to insert a special character.
Activate the numeric key pad on the right of the keyboard by pressing Num Lock (upper right of keyboard). ...
While pressing down the ALT key, type the four-digit code on the numeric key pad at the right edge of the keyboard.

rusty, I had to copy and paste the above as I haven't had much luck with accents on my old laptop.
The Pine Cone cafe has good reviews on Tripadvisor.
I am off out for a while.

Yes, it is 'acute'

Personally I find it easier to use a French keyboard -
We have special keys for all the letters that mght have an accent, apart from the normal keys - that means that when typing in English, you just ignore these special keys.

Of course don't know where you could buy a ~French keyboard tablet anywhere else but in France!
