i am quite exultant that we are all light-hearted!
Now, can someone help me, please?
Recently, on Twitter etc, I have noticed a few folk (mainly journalists) using the word "vine".
I could make neither head or tail of it, when it hit me.
Has grapevine abbreviated into vine as the language evolves? Or, am I bit wandered?

it says in Chambers that 'vine' is an application for posting video clips on the Twitter website, Rusty

Vine is a short video, usually 5 to 10 seconds of clips of random stuff.

Does your nice new Chamber's tell where the word has derived from?
Maybe it is like "the cloud" which I was investigating, and turned out to be not a cloud at all.
