It is beautiful here! the sun is shining , the sky is blue, and it is relatively mild out so far........though I believe it is meant to peak at 24C at 3pm!
We have been out for an early morning stroll......
I don't know what will happen with regard to Rio and the Olympic games?
A lot of medics have now written to complain about the dangers of going ahead and still holding the Games, but I fear that the lure of money will prevail over common sense, and health issues.
Did Miss La Bamba enjoy the racing at Perth yesterday - did she have a "flutter" or two....?
How about you? Are you betting today?
I am geared up for watching the Athletics and the tennis (which clash with each other!) and which start at 1.30 pm (I think...must check)
But right now, I am going to indulge in a cup of coffee, and tackle the Everyman crossword (one of my favourites.................)

Perth Races are on today. I may hear from La Bamba in the evening as to how she gets on.
She knows nothing about racing, which is not necessarily a disadvantage!
No horsey bets for me, but I have Jason Day in the golf.
He is going along quite nicely. I need him in the first 7 to make a profit.
Cloudy here but forecast is for sun later.
I agree regarding the Games.
Money comes first. Nike has spoken!
I have been expecting a country to say they are not competing because of the risk, but none so far.
A bit negligent, for me.
I used to do Everyman but I do not get a Sunday paper any more.
How are you and ITV4 getting on today?

Oh, I must have misunderstood, I thought she was going yesterday - I just assumed that the races were on for more than one day ( how can you tell that I know nothing about racing?!)
So you have golf to watch today........ I think I remember now you and Albie having some such discussion.
Do not mention ITV4.... it is a very sore point......there is no signal whatsoever....I am wondering now whether we ever could get coverage on that channel?
I cannot remember whether or not I have ever used it? I know that several times I intended to do so...probably to watch tennis......but did I....??
We are going to buy a bigger and better ( indoor) aerial - the cat broke the original one and at present we are using a much inferior, smaller, one from the TV in one of the guest bedrooms.
This of course might be the problem........
We don't have an outside aerial .

I don't have that paper either. But you can access the crossword free online.

But who knows, with modern technology!

Is there a "factory reset" or "first installation" option?
By far the best way to solve these problems is to get a teenager involved.
They know everything!

I'm taking a five minute coffee break.......
The Athletics has finished - a great afternoon!
Did you watch any of it or have you been "golfing"?
A couple of records worth mentioning......
Kiprop won the fastest ever 1500m race taking place in Great Britain!
And Mo Farah made a new British record - by one tenth of a second!!! - in the 3000m.
It was good to see Sally Pearson taking part in the 100m hurdles - first time back after her very serious injury a year ago.
(Your bete noire, Lynsey Sharp was running in the 800m - she came fourth)
Now I can give my full attention to the remainder of the tennis....I've
been channel hopping!
Novak is up 2 sets to 1; and 2-0 in the third set........

I watched the cycling from France.
Then a bit of the tennis, and then had a walk and posted off my Referendum vote!
The golf is on now.
La Bamba sent me a couple of photos from the races.
Weather is superb, she is all dolled up and having a ball!
Lassie is feeding her brood in the sunshine.

Update........
Novak won........the first time he has won the French Open!
He is the first man since Rod Laver to hold all four titles at the same time!
Andy Murray was very gracious in defeat.
He climbed over the net to give Novak a hug and offer his congratulations.
Both gave very nice speeches.
A nice outcome.......

This thread has disappeared from my computer, and I found it by using the search box.
I notice the thread that Brainless posted is now on page 2, among entries from the 4th!
I only had photos from La Bamba, no text.
Golf is going fine but I doubt if my man will win.
Now, I wonder where my reply will take this thread!
