Hi, Rusty!
Thank you for your good wishes! I shall do my very best to enjoy my hopefully delicious meal tonight!
Goodness, I am on a roll now with remembering radio programmes......
I don't know the one you mentioned "The Black Museum"?
But the two that scared me were "Journey into Space" - I was but a nipper, knee high to a grasshopper, and had my mother looking under my bed every night before I would go to sleep!
And John Wyndham's "The Day of the Triffids" .
Gosh, that was frightening! I've read the book and seen a televised version, but nothing was so utterly terrifying as that radio play!
You could hear the triffids coming along......
No, regrettably no -one knows what was going on with the police yesterday- we may have to wait for next week's local paper and see if the incident makes the News.......
What are you up to today? Are you planning a dander as the ground is now ice-free?

Thank you, Chris! I think we are only a couple of years ahead of you?
It's 43 years today for us.

Bonjour , Pigale!
C'est tres gentil de votre part.

I cannot mange the grave accent over the 'e' in 'tres'!

Hello, Elle!
I Googled "The Black Museum" and discovered (unknownst to me) that it was made by the BBC.
It was certainly on Radio Luxembourg that I heard it, though.
Orson Welles was the presenter, and it was scary!
And it was followed by "The Jo Stafford Show" and then, I think, by "Irish Requests".
I am staying home just now.
I have a one hour delivery slot for my paint delivery, shortly.
Then I may have a walk.
It has turned into a nice blue-sky day here.

Hi, Rusty!
I am not sure whether you are still around waiting for your paint to arrive or whether you will have gone out for your walk by now?
It's stopped raining here but is very dull and miserable looking..... certainly no blues skies for us!
However, we are just about to go out with the dog (we need to tire her out (not an easy job!) if she is going to be left alone for several hours this evening!
Catch you later.....

Hello, Elle!
My paint was delivered in the notified time slot, by a very friendly and polite DPD driver.
I have accordingly delivered good "feedback" about the transaction!
There is not a cloud in the sky here, but I think the temperature is to drop.
Frost forecast for tonight.
Heading out now!

Hi, Rusty!
Well, we have done our best to tire out the dog - not easily achieved as she normally runs everywhere as a matter of course without ever seeming to become weary!
She is good about being left though, and is all right alone for up to five or six hours. She has the cat for company anyway!
And tonight we shall only be out about three hours at most.
We had a pleasant walk....surprisingly the sky was blue (ish) and the sun struggling to make a belated appearance.
It's fast going dark now though.
How was your walk? Where did you go?
Yes, DPD are brilliant. They deliver my pet food order, and the driver always arrives within his hourly 'slot' and is very pleasant and friendly ; always carrying the heavy stuff inside for me.
I'm always impressed by the service.
I didn't like the QC today - I think it is a newish setter, as I didn't recognise the name. I finished it but without any feeling of satisfaction.
How was the 15 x 15?

DPD is a sore point with me, elle. They came earlier than they said last Wednesday, before we were back, and needed a signature for the item, so posted a note through the door. I re-arranged for Friday, agreed on their website - no delivery. Repeated for yesterday - same result, so I got in touch with the original despatcher. They said they would look into it and phone back.

Three hours later they did so. DPD have apparently mislaid the item. Not all bad, though - I'm being sent a replacement, and the P&P charge has been waived.

Oh, and we tried to take our dog out too. Weather was foul; after about 200 yards he looked at us as if to say "Are you serious about this, guys?". Normally we cajole him into continuing, but this time we agreed with him!
