Well- a bit late to this thread, frankly astonished at what some will complain about.

I personally don't mind long chatty threads. If I see one I generally avoid it. Easy peasy! What does get me going is having to wade through the little short threadlets for the same crossword. Case in point this week's Everyman has 16 threads, some of them started by the same person. It puts me in Walter Gabriel mode..."Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear."

A lot of us are with you on that one, Dandybandy.
