Good afternoon, Elle!
Yes, Lassie is on her way!
The chicks will go next, and finally Laddie.
"A safe journey and haste ye back" to Lassie!
I can not remember hardly anything about the film.
And my two lassies are on their way to Las Vegas.
Just had a text from the Norn Iron folk.
They follow the girls on FaceBook.
I'll see if I can track their flight.

Good afternoon, Rusty!
Did you track the girls' flight to Las Vegas?
How long does it take?
Will this be their last stop before coming home?
We have had a lovely afternoon here...
.I went out for a while with the dog, but have spent most of the day cleaning and tidying, in readiness for the family's arrival tomorrow!
Not that you can see any difference......
There was another Burt Lancaster film about the same era....."Elmer Gantry"?
Do you remember that one?
Burt Lancaster played a con man.......

Hello, Elle!
It is a lovely evening here!
I only followed half their flight as I did not know they had taken wing until my friends texted to me.
I think it took around 90 minutes.
I don't know their itinerary, but I "think" they will fly to Newark and then Edinburgh.
I hear Newark is a major airport on the East coast, certainly for the New York area.
I know the name "Elmer Gantry" but I doubt if I saw the film.
Was he a preacher?

Hi, Rusty!
We flew in to JFK when visiting New York, but I have heard of Newark.
I am not sure where it is situated though.
Yes, I think you are right in saying that Elmer Gantry was a preacher......or rather, a con man pretending to be a preacher!
I have been indulging in a bit of nostalgia, conjuring up old films.......
I think there was a Burt Lancaster film when he claimed he could make it rain?
For a hundred dollars!
I watched a Celebrity "Eggheads" - an excellent contest.
The "Eggheads" won, but it was a close run challenge.
The celebrity challengers were a team of women authors....but I hadn't heard of a single one of them.

Hello, Elle!
It is still warm here!
Newark is in New Jersey.
It is a major airport for New York and New Jersey.
Burt was in "The Rainmaker. Would that be it?
Well, the girls are in Las Vegas and all is well.

Hi, Rusty!
I did not know that Newark airport is in Jersey City.....
I wonder then why we flew to JFK, when we were staying in Jersey City?
Newark would obviously have been so much nearer?
I cannot remember the circumstances at the time...perhaps it was a question of the time of flights?
Yes, "The Rainmaker" sounds likely......
Goodness, I haven't been to the cinema in years!
Speaking of films......did you ever watch your DVD of "La La Land"?
I am glad the girls have arrived safely and all is well.
My daughter says the family is all packed for going away tomorrow!
I need a coffee.....

Good morning, Elle!
Cloudy and dry here!
Newark is the most populous town in the state of New Jersey.
It may have been the airline that you travelled with, that flies mainly to Kennedy?
Newark is the "home" of United Airlines.
Newark and Kennedy are the main airports.
I "think" Newark handles more flights, but Kennedy has more people passing through.
Something like that, anyway!
All is well with girls, but roll on Wednesday when they come home!

Good morning, Rusty!
It is a lovely bright sunny day here....with a temperature of 22C already.
I have been out for a walk......
And already have all the washing hung out on the Hill's Hoist.
I just have a few chores to do before the family arrives......but we are not expecting them until sometime this afternoon.
Yes, you will be looking forward to seeing the girls soon!
I don't think there are any Athletics events this weekend?
Leastways, I cannot any such reference?
Have you got any plans for today?

Hello, Elle!
Are you all set for the family arriving?
I do not think there is any athletics on?
BT Sport have shown a lot of tennis this week, though.
I have a big bike race to watch, shortly.
The Clasica San Sebastian.
LouLou won it last year and is riding again today!
I may look into the racing at Goodwood to see if we are getting another song from Francesca!
Mind you, she is no singer, but she's enthusiastic!

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, we are as organised as we can be!
I didn't want to miss any Athletic DLs if there were any...but I shall not have time to watch anyway, so it would have meant recording the programmes and playing catch up later, once the family had gone home.
I am the only person keen to watch!
I hope the bike race goes well - and wish LouLou success!
I hope his eyebrows are in good form!
