Good morning, Elle!
Seems a nice morning outside.
Well done the young lad!
I did not know there was a Harry Potter thing at Orlando.
Speaking of Orlando, my girls are leaving there on Monday!
They love Orlando!
My local paper say the Tom Jones concert was a success last night, and the police say the roads in the surrounding area have re-opened following the concert.
Well, last day of the Tour!
It has been very enjoyable and a very open race with new heros emerging.
Hope Bernal and the rest of the riders enjoy the run to Paris!
Looking forward to the Champs-Elysees!

Good morning, Rusty!
A dull, but dry and much cooler day here!
It even feels a tad chilly, in comparison to the unusually high temps we had been experiencing.
But I find this far preferable.
I am glad the Tom Jones concert was a success.
Tom is much liked when appearing as a coach on the adult version of "The Voice UK".
You will be glad to have your granddaughters back home very soon.
They will have much to tell you.....and no doubt many photos to show you!
I have already done my Everyman puzzle!
I printed it out last night before going to bed, and completed it this morning before going out!
A very disappointingly easy puzzle, with far too many anagrams.
I had gotten used in the past to its being a clever and skilful crossword, but today's version was pathetically easy.
This has quite spoiled my morning!!
Yes, you will be looking forward to the last day of the Tour!

Hello, Elle,
It's a bit rainy here now but brightening out to sea, so hope that continues.
Well, I hope Tom's concert was a success, after the upheaval in the town with roads closing etc.
No, the girls are not coming home, yet.
They leave Orlando for California, then Las Vegas, and then home.
I was a wee bit surprised that they did not opt to stay in Orlando, for they love it there.
A pity about your Everyman puzzle.
The Times has a limit of five anagrams per puzzle.
I am looking forward to the Tour, today.
It has been the best Tour for many years, I think.
Great racing, and very open, and bits of drama here and there.
The racing when they hit the Champs-Elysees will be brilliant.
High speed all the way!

Hi, Rusty!
Ah, I misunderstood your comment about the girls leaving Orlando.......and thought they must be coming home!
I knew they were away for three weeks , but didn't calculate how long they had been gone!
And time seems to whizz past these days!
I find the older I get...... the quicker time (apparently) passes?
I have nearly finished the Sunday Times Cryptic puzzle - a nice one, in my view, today.
I think it is time for a break, with a coffee and a chocolate muffin, before I finally put the puzzle to bed!
How is the cycling progressing?

Hello, Elle!
I wish the girls were coming home!
I miss them!
The cycling has not started yet.
They leave Rambouillet just after five o'clock and should hit the Champs-Elysees around eight, I think.
It is a short stage and the last few miles on the Champs-Elysees will be very high speed and exciting.
When Sagan gets there he will set a record for the green jersey.
The seventh time he has won it.
So....quite a while to wait this afternoon!

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, I know you miss the girls... but they will be home before too long.
I shall miss my younger daughter, too, whilst she is away...but I am sure she will continue to phone and text as she usually does.
And time will pass hopefully pass quickly for us.
I hadn't realised that the last stage of Le Tour does not start till late afternoon.......
Meanwhile...I am just going out for a walk.
A weak sun is showing his face, and donning his hat....
So I shall take advantage of it!

Hello, Elle!
It's a lovely day here!
I went for a dander earlier.
The Tour has just left Rambouillet heading for Paris.
Let's hope there is no drama!
Everyone is saying it's the best Tour for many years.
Bernal is sipping Champagne as he rides along!
Very light-hearted today.

Good evening, Rusty!
We had a very pleasant walk.
It is lovely now that the temperature is cooler.
But I wonder for how long?
I have just been reading that after much heavy rain, the temperature is set to soar again..... and there will be three more spells of "heatwave" during the remainder of the Summer....
I do hope that does not happen!
I hope the finishing stage of the cycling is going well........

Hi, Rusty!
I have been talking to my cousin.......
All is well up there, and they are all feeling relieved at the drop in temperature, and the much needed rain is welcomed!
School holidays are happening up there, too, now, and she has her grandson with her for a few days.
I have been browsing.....and have ordered some books on Amazon.
I am running out of reading material, and I have some credit on my Amazon account...... so why not?
What did you decide to do about Robert Frost's "Poetry for Kids"?

Hi elle and rusty
Could I perhaps recommend one of my favourite books? As I have said elsewhere, not obviously my "type of book", but I absolutely love it!
