Good morning, Elle!
A bit overcast and cloudy here...so far!
Glad you liked the video clip!
Makes me nostalgic!
The Lausanne Diamond League was very good.
I was/am puzzled though, by the vests worn by many athletes.
The vest was a very dark green Nike vest.
In one race, the men's 100 metres, 7 out of 8 sprinters wore the same vest.
Laura Muir wore the same one.
I presume Nike are paying the athletes to wear them?
You would think, though, they would have various colours, instead of only dark green?
I am sure you will notice them when you watch the meeting at the weekend.
Off now, for my paper etc!

Update, Elle!
Remember I told you yesterday about the wee clip that Paul McGinley did at the golf at Ballyliffin?
Sky Sports appear to have released it!

Good morning, Rusty!
Whew! A very hot and humid start to the day!
25C already when I ventured out bravely at 8am.
I am staying firmly indoors with fans blazing forth, if this heat continues!!!
Re the green vests......
It wouldn't be the first time, though, that many of the athletes have been identically clad.....
There was a spate of wearing narrow stripey black and white outfits a while back...men and women both!
I rather liked them! although it tended to be confusing with so many runners similarly dressed!
I am looking forward to seeing the Lausanne DL.
Thank you for the clip at Ballyliffin.
I shall go and sort out my "refreshments" and then watch it!

Hi again, Rusty!
I have now watched the video by Paul McGinley about Donegal.
What a beautiful place!
And so quiet and peaceful...…....…..
It is no wonder you feel nostalgic when looking at such wonderful scenery!

I think Donegal is a magical place, too. Especially the seascapes round Glencolumkille.
Back to the library for yet more books today. It's the British national Tang Soo Do championships tomorrow; son and grandson taking part.

Hello, Elle!
Lovely day here and we have a breeze!
You are correct about the vests.
This year's colour seems to be a dark bottle green!
I think you'll like the Paul McGinley clip.
He is a favourite of mine and he captained the Europe team in the Ryder Cup.
I do feel nostalgia when I watch the video and wonder to myself, "why, oh why, did we ever leave!"

Hi, Rusty!
"A breeze?" she says in wonder.......
Oh that we had that here!
This is by far the hottest day yet, in our locality!
30C ........
And this for most of the day!
If I had to choose between living in a hot or a cold climate, I should definitely opt for the cold!
One can pile on additional clothes.......there is a limit to what one can legally take off!
You are close to the sea, maybe this is why you have a "breeze"?
I wonder what today is like in Wimbledon?
I may indulge soon...and see who is playing whom.......and when?
Are you watching the tennis...or the golf......today?

Hello, Ros!
Are they two unconnected events ...library today ...... the British National Tang Soo Do championships tomorrow?
Or are the books to read tomorrow, whilst staving off boredom watching the Tang Soo Do?!
Will there be anybody there ...or will folk be at home watching the football Quarter final?
My grandson has his school Summer Fair tomorrow........it is feared attendance will be poor this year!

Hello, Elle.
I would choose cold, too.
The breeze is from the SW, so not from the sea...today, anyway.
Watched a bit of Madison Keys and now the golf.
Maybe watch the France game in the afternoon.
France have a fine football team.
Tomorrow, it is Tour de France, golf, tennis, and if I can find a Spanish channel, the Pamplona bull run.
Jonathan Edwards is helping with the Tour presentation.
He has made a good career for himself at EuroSport.
Does the skiing, too!
I heard last night that Victoria P and her husband have separated.
Sad.
I know he did not want her to go to Everest, but I do not know if that is a factor.

Hi, Rusty!
I had the tennis on for a while......but there is no one whom I particularly want to watch playing at present.
I think Roger plays later about 4.15 on Centre Court, so I shall watch that.
The crashing out of many of the seeded players continues....
I hear that yesterday the women's defending Champion, Muguruza went out......
And earlier today one of your favourites, Madison Keys, lost her match, too.
Not seeded, but Ekaterina Makarova has put out Lucie Safarova ( she of the floating "nightie" that so excited your attention last year! )
About half the men's seeds have fallen.......but Kevin Anderson and Milos Raonic are through today.
Sam Querry went out , though.
Yes, what a shame about Victoria's splitting up from her husband!
In the article I read, it simply said that the couple had "grown apart".
Ten years together, five of which they were married.
And this after all the initial trouble they had with their relationship, too, when Scott was Victoria's coach....and they first had to keep it a secret.....and then he resigned from his coaching job!
Ah well!
Are you watching the football?

I've just looked at Mark Cavendish's preview of the TdF (here:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cycling/44576490
and there doesn't seem to be a prologue time-trial. Is this new?
