Hello, Pigale!
I am a confirmed fan of Amira.
Yes, I can still see the nine year old in her face and expressions.
And a very pretty young lady indeed!
Sometimes I see a resemblance to Duchess Kate!
Or is she a Princess?
Good luck with your search for Laura!
Some great stuff over on YouTube!

Hi, Rusty!
I don't go on AnswerBank........
Where was this that you were reading about the woman and her boiler?
Does AnswerBank have a chat page?
Yes, a nice story.......I 'm somewhat hard put to believe the BG part, after our recent experience (altho the engineer himself was great), but a lovely gesture on the part of the neighbour to invite her and her family for Christmas dinner.
But that's what good neighbours do!
We are very fortunate, as we would all react like that around here!
Yes, it will be great to see our son.........he didn't mention if he were bringing our granddaughter with him (he may be on his way to work).
But we shall see her anyway on New Year's Day with her mum.
Our son is a manager at a big London hotel and works unsociable hours!
Pouring with rain here and feeling very cold!

Hello, Elle!
Go to AnswerBank, then Chatterbank.
The poster is "Tilly2" and the heading is something like "Our Boiler Broke Down on Christmas Eve".
Oh, let's hope your granddaughter comes too!
It is dry here, but minus one outside.

Hi, Rusty!
Ah yes, I found it!
I rather liked the response by "Jahulaye"........
We pay a lot of money, too, but our BG engineers come fully dressed.......
How are you getting on with your new book?
I've been saving Jo's book for Christmas and have forgotten about it!

Hello, Elle!
A nice tale, eh!
Not been reading the last day or two.
Have some books not arrived yet.
But some here I have not read yet.
I think Jo's book will be good!

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, indeed, a lovely tale about the kind neighbour.
(I don't think you have read the remark about BG by " Jahulaye", though!)
I have done a lot of reading these last few days, when collapsing on the sofa at the end of the day!
I'm recording a few programmes to watch at a later date ...although I don't know what happened to "Gone with the Wind"...
(Maybe it blew away, because it failed to record!)
I am reading a book by Michael Connelly at the moment.

Hey Rusty,

I am slightly late going to bed!
Here is a link for a real opera number (Puccini's Tosca) by Laura
(You may not like it?)

Hello, Elle!
I read all the posts?
Though I go through them quickly.
I have heard of Michael Connelly but can not remember what he wrote.
Jurassic Park, maybe ?

Hello, Pigale!
Laura acts out her songs in true opera style whereas Amira only sings the piece.
Laura should go far, I think.
A lot of feeling and passion in her work!

Hi, Rusty!
Sorry, I have probably confused you?
I meant the response on AnswerBank's Chatterbank to the lady whose boiler broke down.......and who had a quick response from BG on Christmas morning......
Someone called "Jahulaye" wrote......
"They’re on double or triple pay so would not expect anything less, actually with the money we spend I’d expect them to come bronzed, oiled, honed and topless with a rose between their teeth, twanging a small guitar with some romantic Latino music"!
Now, Michael Connelly......... he writes detective novels , mainly about LAPD Detective Hieronymus "Harry" Bosch, and Criminal Defence Attorney Mickey Haller.
The books make good reading.
I enjoy them.
I think "Jurassic Park" might have been written by Michael Crichton?
He does write science fiction.

Hello, Elle!
To be fair, I skipped past Jahulaye's post.
I suspect you are correct about Michael Crichton and Jurassic Park.
Wonder if I have read it?
Anyway, I am going to have a quick look at the puzzle on The Times site and then turn in.
See you later!
