Hello, Elle!
BT tell me they have engineers working on the servers and expect it to be working normally by 1.00 p.m. tomorrow.
My BT page is completely blank.
Nothing in the inbox.
BT told me there many folk calling them with the same problem.
BT are pests!

Hi Rusty!
I doubt this is the same difficulty as I had...mine sounds more like a temporary blip.....
You obviously have a serious problem with BT.
What a nuisance for you.
I hope it soon gets sorted.
I am now reading yet another Nevil Shute......
These books are very old.... they have my maiden name written in them...
And I have been married for 45 years come this December!

Hello, Elle!
Well, I just hope it is fixed tomorrow.
I took BT's info with a pinch of salt!
45 years is an awful long time to be wed.
I have been happily divorced for many years.
I read "A Town Like Alice" a long time ago.
It was a good story.

A Very good morning to you, Rusty!
Dull and dreary here, but a bit milder.......
I much prefer the brightness and the cold!
Far more invigorating, and leads to a more energetic walk!
No plans for most of the day.......apart from some cleaning and paperwork.
A friend is visiting late afternoon.
How about you?

Good morning, Elle!
Cloudy and cold here.
I have eventually got my email service working again.
Was hard work dealing with BT!
My emails were not working for 15 hours.
Seems fine now after changing password and BT doing "stuff" at their end.
No plans today, after the mail schemozzle!

Hi, Rusty!
I am glad that you are "back in business" again with your emails.
How very annoying for you to be without the service for so long.
And trying actually to "talk" to someone in authority can be very soul destroying!
I find it increasingly difficult these days to find a "real person" with whom to deal!
It is good that you persevered and have resolved the matter!
This morning seems to have whizzed by.......
The crossword is all done, and I think for once that I have parsed everything!
Still a dreary day!!

Hello, Elle!
Well done on your puzzle!
I have finished, too.
Dealing with BT raises my BP!
They are not user-friendly, at all!

Hi, Rusty!
I don't think many organisations are "user-friendly" any more.
The biggest drawback is the inability to find a person to whom to speak.
It's all pre - recorded...press this, press that ( turn round three times and say the following incantation....well, it feels like that, anyway! )
I get very annoyed at being told to press this button for that option etc., and half the time there is never a relevant section for one's query!
(I went through too much of this with the HMRC)
I have been bugged all the morning with nuisance calls - ironically asking me if I am getting any troublesome callers........
I wish I were not innately polite.... I should love to tell them where to go.......
I had intended to go out with the dog, but time has beaten me.......
Our friend will be arriving before I would get home again.
At least you can relax now....... and lower your BP!

I have had far fewer nuisance calls since I stopped giving any company whatsoever my phone number. If compulsory on an internet form I have a handy made up one which is not anyone's. Companies may say they do not share info but they can always be hacked.
As soon as I realise it is a nuisance call I say "Go away" and put the phone down. I do not listen to more than one word of any recorded message and delete all spoken SMS messages on my landline without listening.
I have also not given my mobile number to any company or charity requesting a donation by text. I do not answer any number I don't recognise. I did once by mistake and got a barrage of texts and calls about Learning to Trade. I phoned and said I would never attend any seminars etc as I did not even know what they were talking about. That actually stopped them.
I realise I may one day miss a vital call. Tant pis.
